Saturday, October 26th, 2002...We had a grave time driving our hearses in
the Halloween Parade on the city streets of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Grave Sights Hearse Club was invited by Waukesha Scare Haunted House, and
Carrol College Haunted House to represent them in the 1.5 mile long parade.

Here we are preparing to get in line before the parade started.

They told us to go all out and bring caskets and any prop we wanted.
..So we all brought caskets, skeletons, corpses and revolving lights.

We secured our caskets down so we could drive in the parade with
them sticking half way out the back door. We also wedged our
back doors open so they wouldn't close while driving.

Above...We had posters in our side windows promoting Waukesha Scare Haunted House,
...as well as signs advertising Grave Sights Hearse Club, too.

Above, the 8 foot tall mascot for Waukesha Scare led the hearses


The kids led the parade in their costumes, collecting candy
from the business owners as they walked down the street.

The banner above promoted the Haunted House's "kiddie tours", where
they toned it down a bit for a day so the little one's wouldn't be so scared.

Two of our hearses (above) were further up in the
parade advertising Carrol College Haunted House,
while the rest of us (below) were towards the back advertising
Waukesha Scare Haunted House. Both are located in Waukesha.

Boy...Did we get the looks as we drove down the street.

1...Leonard's grandson, David, rode in Grampa's hearse - 2...One of Mike's daughters (in costume) walks along
Mike's hearse handing out candy to kids on the curb. Mike is wearing a mask - 3 & 4...Scary Perry's hearse
with a skeleton on the roof, a skeleton on the door and a ghoul sitting on top of the coffin.

Mike's 2 daughters, Jenny (left) and Jessica (right) brought a friend,
Cassity, (middle) to experience the wonderful world of hearses!
(and to pass out candy, too...lol)

 

After the parade was over, we all got a bite to eat, then went to Waukesha
Scare Haunted House for a free tour and hearse show with trophies!
