Car Club's "9th" Annual Car Show
Father's Day - Sunday, June 16th, 2002
Once
again, we participated in the Kenosha Car Club's 9th Annual Car Show in
Baker Park on Sheridan Road. This year, we had 5 hearses. Check out the
pics from that day!
Thanks to everybloody
who joined us!
The lot of us hanging out. Left to Right -
Vice Prez. Steve Andersen, Barb Schmaling, Founder & President
Scary Perry Claeys (with son, David), Mike Laufenberg, and Chicago recording
artist, Rip Fantom from the band, "The
Rosedales".

David puts on a mask and gloves to scare the girls.
...
Above - The Haunted House sign looked perfect in front of
Steve's 63' Caddy hearse.

Rip's 1965 Cadillac Superior hearse looked ready to take
on any street rod.
.
Perry brought a few props for his hearse. He hopes to bring his 1968 Cadillac
Hearse Combo next year.
The movie poster says it all...don't you think?
This is what was across the street from the car show.....perfect, eh?
.
Here's a front and back shot of our little gruesome gathering.
.
Scary Perry's before and after shots - We can't tell the difference...can
you???

"A Tiskit,
A Tasket, We brought some ghoulish caskets!"
Above, Perry brought 2 caskets, a modern full size adult casket, and an
infant casket from the 1940's.
Below, Steve's oak casket, Rip's homemade toe-pincher, and Mike's aqua casket.

After the car show was over, Rip had to leave early, but the rest of us
went across the street to the cemetery.
Left

Schmaling's 1983 Buick LaSabre hearse,
Steve Andersen's 1963 Caddy Superior, and Scary Perry's 1980 Cadillac Superior
Crown.
On the way out, Perry posed with his grandparents headstone. Two (2) of
his grandfathers were morticians.

The owner of this truck above had both bumpers, running
boards and the dash all HAND carved out of wood!
This was by far the biggest entry of the day!
I regret that I didn't have enough film to
take more car pics, because there were about 200 vintage classic cars!
Join us
in July for the next car show - details coming soon!
