Friday, Saturday & Sunday...September 15th, 16th & 17th


This was one event we were looking forward to all summer long!
"20" of us went to Jellystone National Park & Resort in Caladonia,
WI. to spend the weekend camping together & having fun...
...partying.
...in the woods.
...at night.
...at a camping resort.
...with hearses.
...and coffins!

Shhh! ....WHAT WAS THAT?
Uh....Nevermind.
I thought I heard something...


"The year; 2006. The place; Caladonia, Wisconsin.
It was the end of summer.
There once was a nice camp resort.
There you could find Yogi Bear playing with the kiddies or reading them stories.
There were plenty of camp activities like arts and crafts, talent shows, ect...
The vacationers enjoyed the pool, the nature trails, the sound
of children playing and birds in the trees, and just relaxing.
Little did they know that their worst fears were about to be-
come a reality...their lives forever changed...scarred for life.
For a group of people from a local hearse club decided
to go camping and have what they call "fun".

All was quiet and peaceful ~ until one day....

...came to the park!"

Actually....We went to Jellystone ahead of time and told them about our
hearse club and our camping plans, and they welcomed us with open arms.

We rented 6 campsites, all together, and brought our tents and one mobile home camper.

Jellystone encouraged us to decorate our camp-
sites with whatever Halloween props we wanted!

Mike Laufenberg set up a huge canopy and hung a
sign he painted on it to let people know who were were.

Amd three of us had hearse tattoos!


Scary Perry got a present from one of his
club members for his 40th birthday.

Look out ! ...Morbid Mike Laufenberg is back!

Before Jellystone had their Trick-Or-Treating, we joined in the
park's fun and drove around the resort in a funeral procession!

SInce the park closes early in the season because of winter, they celebrate Halloween
a month early, and we were encouraged to dress up in costumes and decorate our
campsites as scary as possible to join in on the park's Halloween fun and activities.
............

The kids loved dressing up for the costume contest and then going trick-or-treating.
Imagine that...Trick-Or-Treating in September!


We had a blast scaring people during trick or treating!
...
After Trick-Or-Treat was over, we had our own costume contest in 2 seperate catagories...

We had some other campers judge our costumes.
And the winners were...

2-year old Jesse Sykora for the child costume catagory.
And...

Mike Laufenberg for the adult costume catagory.

Even Scary Perry's dog, "Pugsley" got dressed up!

We had a blast sitting around the campfire at night
............
We told ghost stories, had a few drinks, told a few jokes, and laughed all night.

HOW ABOUT SOME SMORES?

While the others slept, Scary Perry brought out his T.V.,
DVD player and some horror movies to watch.

. ...
Somewhere about Midnight, a Dark Angel and a Reaper figure appeared at our main campsite and silently
walked around. We tried talking to her, but she didn't speak a word. We never did find out who she was.

Mike Laufenberg slept in his hearse!



Tim Elmer tried to get a head-shaving party started.
....
Unfortunately, he was the only one....haha!

Tim Elmer and John Theres had a ball at the playground, too!
